Gotham Graphix required a strong and intriguing logo to match their New York name. The iconic Chrysler building came to mind when thinking of Gotham a pseudonym for New York. Then the superimposition onto the basic graphic design tool, the pencil, inspired me to combine the two into a provocative illustration that served as the branding tool for the new studio. The logo was seen as showcasing the studio’s creativity and strong sense of design.
